There are many benefits as well as threats to public figures or trusted people interacting with public audiences in the media spce. First of all, public figures have a certain influence on society. Everything they say and do is judged. Their positive actions will have a good influence on the public, and there will be a good social atmosphere on social platforms. Viewers will also be more interested and attentive to podcasts because of this positive message. This will bring more followers and attention to their social accounts, which is a good result. But at the same time, if some bad information comes out of the media space of public figures, they may be subject to serious cyber violence and threats. In China, young celebrities who smoke in public are instantly trending on social media. In other words, what they say and do has an impact on the public. Their wrong words and deeds will cause the wrong idea to the young people and may lead some people to imitate their actions, so public figures need to present a good image in front of the public all the time.

Verified people should be cautious when using social media. Because it means their privacy is out there. Their current location, their occupation, and even their appearance will be known to the public. This involves a lot of personal information, there are huge hidden dangers. Public figures may be stalked in public places, and some press teams even violate privacy and take candid photos to get juicy news. It is not a good thing to be photographed awkwardly or unfavorably without knowing it.

Being popular with the public and having a PLN is a good thing for many people. As well as increasing our popularity, we will welcome more fans, which will give us a sense of accomplishment and make money. Also, our opinions are recognized by the public, and we can get feedback and participate in more professional seminars. This will make better progress in academic research. But the direct correlation between social media and employment may not be a good thing. Because sharing the same account to live and work may cause a lot of unnecessary trouble. I think the best solution is to separate personal accounts from professional accounts. I’ve seen many members of the public do this, and they have two or more accounts on one social platform. But fans will find out about any account, so be careful what you say and do on social media.
